The Ford Meter Box Company, Inc. (www.fordmeterbox.com), North America’s largest brass foundry, is seeking a motivated, paid Multi-Discipline Engineering Intern for Summer 2019 at our Wabash plant, just 70 miles north of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Ford Meter Box manufactures potable water distribution components for residential and commercial use. It has been in business for over a hundred years and has been a pioneer in the waterworks industry.
This internship requires a “Can-Do” attitude, great communication skills, exceptional punctuality, and a desire to work with all facets of the foundry casting process. Shift flexibility is required for certain projects. Interns should be comfortable working in warm conditions performing a variety of technical, administrative, and design related assignments.
Topical focuses include:
- Technical Documentation and Administration
- Equipment Summaries and Review
- Environmental/Safety Compliance
- Sustainability Initiatives
- Diagnostics, Statistics, and Analysis
- Oral Presentations
The ideal candidate will be pursuing a four-year degree in an engineering discipline. Prospects knowledgeable in design software and mechanical repair are preferred.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have completed their sophomore year with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
